Plant these in full sun, 6 hours minimum direct sun anywhere from 6 to 18 inches from the waters surface in Loam soil, never stone which can prevent the lilies from sending up new growth. 

Fertilize on the 1st and 15th of each month with 4 fertilizer tablets just 3 inches from the growing point in your pot. 1 or 2 gallon aquatic fabric pots are best for these waterlilies.
