Floating Pond Plants simply need to be placed upright in the pond. In summer sun they should be acclimated in a bucket of pond water outdoors in the shade for 2-4 days before putting them in full sun. Temps should not drop below 50 degrees for these plants. Submerged Oxygenating Pond Plants are best in shallow pots with a heavy loam clay soil, aquatic planting media, or small pebbles no larger than aquarium gravel. This simply anchors them, the plants mainly clean the water.
Neither Submerged oxygenators or Floating Pond Plants will likely last long in ponds with large koi. Use koi / plant floating barriers to safely enjoy use floating pond plants with large koi. Hornwort is by far the best of the oxygenating pond plants.
