Dig holes a little larger than the rhizomes, add composted material and cover rhizomes with an inch of soil. Plant in full sun or part shade. For the pond, Your Louisiana Iris may be planted in moist bog areas near your pond or in containers with heavy loam soil and placed in your pond with an inch or two of water above the top of the container. Louisiana iris may also be used in bog filters, helping to remove nutrients from the water to help avoid algae issues.

Fertilizing Instructions

When planting in containers and placed in your pond, fertilize with Waterlily World Fertilizer Tabs + Humates throughout the growing/blooming season (June through September) for robust growth and best bloom! Simply press the fertilizer tabs into the soil around the roots of the rhizomes.
