Red Edge White Lotus

How To Plant Your Lotus

Plant your lotus tuber in a wide container using loam soil. Place the tuber in a trench in the soil and cover all but the growth tips in soil. Gently add 2 - 3 inches of water above the soil. Place the container where it will receive 8 - 12 hours of sunlight daily. 

How and When To Fertilize Your Lotus

Wait until you have aerial leaves to fertilize your lotus. Once you have at least two aerial leaves, you may fertilize your lotus with two fertilizer tabs. Fertilize every three weeks throughout the summer with three fertilizer tabs. Make the last fertilizer application in early September. This will allow your lotus to go into dormancy naturally.
