Purple Passion Waterlily is a new very high petal count annual water lily. 

Pond Megastore owner and water lily expert Zac deGarmeaux first saw the Purple Passion water lily grown as a contest lily in Naples Florida in early summer 2019. Though it did not win the water lily competition that year, Zac knew the competition had missed the mark yet again as this was certainly the best lily on display by a mile that year. Note that competition is done with photos and not an eye on selection which is one of many problems with the annual award competition. Pond Megastore always examines the waterlilies before deciding if they are worthy of entering the market. Unfortunately, in the USA there are more waterlily varieties than customers looking for them so only the very best should be offered for sale.  

The Purple Passion Waterlily deep dark petals, beautiful mottled lily pads and huge size of the plant and flowers were remarkable. Well over 100 petals on the flowers that will bloom daily if you keep them in a sunny warm pool, shallow water and with good loam soil and regular fertilizer. The plant on display had huge remarkable flowers that stood out as showstoppers among the other water lilies.
