Variegated Spider Lily (Variegated Caribaea Hymenocallis)
The Variegated Spider Lily is an amazing pond plant with stunning white flowers! Great for growing in the moist soil of your bog or in containers in the pond with an inch of water above the roots. The variegated foliage is striking with strap-like foliage in gentle shades of cream and green. The ethereal, white flowers bloom in mid-summer with elongated petals that give it the 'spidery' appearance as well as its name. The variegated foliage looks great all summer long! Variegated Spider Lily adds a tropical dimension to your pond. This luscious pond plant is hardy to zone 7 and is considered a hardy in the south. It will overwinter in the pond if it is kept below the freeze line in the winter. One of the loveliest aquatic plants for your pond!

Variegated Spider Lily can be planted in moist soil in the bog area of your pond or may be planted in containers of heavy loam soil and placed with an inch or two of water above the soil. Small bulbs are at the roots and bulb division is how the spider lily spreads. Does well in full sun to part shade and loves moving water. Great when planted in fabric planters and placed in stream beds! Hardy to zone 7, Variegated Spider Lily is considered a hardy in southern states, always over-winter with plants beneath the freeze line.
